Daily CFC Blog-News Review – 25th Jan 2012

I was sorry to hear in the last couple of days that our record goal scorer Bobby Tambling is currently in hospital.

The 70 year old is reported to be suffering with a serious condition and we would like to wish our top scorer a speedy recovering as all Chelsea fans are pulling for you sir!

FamousCFC.com start the day by suggesting that anyone can become a professional footballer as long as they are happy with being Man City’s seventh choice left back.

With all the struggles and debates over our best formation ChelseaDaft cover this issue in depth, although CFC.Kris would like to see a 4-3-3 but only if we can get some pacy wingers in the style of Robben and Duff from the Mourinho era.

Also don’t forget that the Chelsea Football Fancast is out this week for two hours of Chelsea based discussion, ranting, singing and banter.

Transfer News

The mainstream media the BBC and several other sources are reporting that we have opened talks to sign Kevin De Bruyne from Genk with a range of possible options including a loan back being discussed. I think this would be a positive mood as the kid is obviously talented and we could bed him into the team after a full pre-season.

Life in the Old Drog yet Part 2 – The Chelsea Football FanCast #155

In part two of this week’s FanCast, “We’re out to show the World the way to sing”; Don’t Look Back in Anger”; “Dear Mart” and “You’re on CFFC!”

The boys and guests belt out a an old terrace favourite in “We’re out to show the World the way to sing”, Followed by Dear Mart without the Dr this week, who is away in Australia. Instead Chidge dons the stethoscope and answers questions on what to do in the close season and is there a second verse to our favourite song – “Strolling”.

In this week’s “Don’t Look Back in Anger” we look back with fond memories on another Chelsea player from the past – who can it be? A special player and a favourite of the Celery Terrorist. All we’re saying is that his surname begins with a G!!!

All that plus the best posts of the week in You’re on CFFC.

“Jog on you Tangerine!” Chelsea Football FanCast #150

DOWNLOAD IT LIKE ITS HOT

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside! The boys discuss the win against plucky Blackpool on a cabbage patch, and ask “Do we believe???” All this plus more terrace songs, Bjarne Goldbaek in DLBIA, Dear Mart and You’re on CFFC.

Chidge, ChelTel, Dr Mart and the Celery Terrorist discuss Chelsea’s win against Blackpool. Can Drogba and Torres play together? Should Drogba ‘Man Up’ and will he be off in the summer? Why Chelsea stop playing when they go 1-0 up? Is Kalou really a super-sub, and most of all who was wearing Luiz wigs and… do we believe Chelsea can win the title???

As always we award our Man and Chant of the Match and Guinness and Celery moments from the games, and after that we have a seaside flavoured “We’re out to Show the World the Way to Sing”

In this week’s “Don’t Look Back in Anger” we look back with fond memories on another Chelsea player from the past – this week Bjarne Goldbaek.

Dr Mart is in the surgery to answer your Chelsea questions in “Dear Mart” and finally, we read out the best posts of the week in “You’re on CFFC”.

More Labore than Arte! The Chelsea Football FanCast #144

Chidge and the boys discuss the win over Blackburn Rovers, the “Fannies”, bets with Paddy Power, transfers with Heineken, an old skool terrace classic involving shagging and beer, Jonny Bumstead, “Dear Mart” and “You’re on CFFC”. Confused – you will be!

We were all at the Bridge on Saturday to see Chelsea eek out a workman like win over a stubborn Blackburn Rovers – a rare occurrence recently – a Chelsea win in the Premier League! The boys discuss Brana Ivanovic’s man-of-the-match performance, JT’s new role as striker and Ramires (now known as ‘Ray-Mears’) improvement. On the down side the attack looked toothless, and the Bridge was a bit of a morgue for much of the match! Never the less, we award our weekly Man of the Match; Chant of the Match; Celery and Guinness moments popularly known as the “Fannies”!

With a bit of research from Ross we tip up a few bets for the match against Bolton next Monday with our special Paddy Power free bet offer, and we also have a discussion on who we would like to see arrive at the Bridge in the transfer window, sponsored by Heineken.

Jonny Bumstead, Chelsea stalwart for 13 years in the days “when we were shit” is the featured player in “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, and appropriately a terrace classic from the days when Chelsea regularly took 10,000 and more away to Norvern outposts is belted out in “We’re Out To Show The World The Way To Sing!”

Finally, Dr Mart offers up some Chelsea diagnosis in “Dear Mart”, and the best Facebook posts of the week are featured in “You’re on CFFC”.
