I had a little trouble getting up the proper enthusiasm for the start of the season this year.  It coincides with the start of the school year, and as much as I do like my job, I could have gone another month without football to not have to work...

I love the preseason.  Love it.  Get a look at the new players, a little taste of the beautiful game, and the spiral back down into the obsession which is football.  Before you can even whisper "withdrawl", the matches are back on, and if you're American, in your backyard!
